John and Caroline currently have 4 dogs and are well aware of the frustrations of taking dogs on holiday.Dog friendly seems to mean dogs tolerated. WE LOVE DOGS.
Q. What do you do if you come home with a wet sandy dog?
A. There is a hose in the stable yard behind Grooms and Keepers Cottages. Bailiffs has a hose in the yard at the back.
Q. What if you want a lie in?
A. Give him a quick run in the fenced exercise area whilst the kettle boils and pop him in the kennel whilst you enjoy a cuppa in bed.
Q. Where can we take him for the best walks?
A. See the list in the cottage of walks and directions.
Q. If anything goes wrong, where are the vets?
A. We have an arrangement with our vets who are on call 24 hours. Just call 01208 72323 and quote ref Higher Tregawne.
Q. What happens if we lose him?
A. We provide a dog tag for his collar giving your holiday address.
Q. Where is the best place to buy food?
A. Wynnstay in Wadebridge.
Q. Where can he swim?
A. There is a lake in the exercise area or at the beach.
Q. What about poo picking?
A. Bags and a disposal point are provided.
Q. Does he need to have had Parvo and Kennel Cough jabs and been recently wormed?
A. Yes, please.
Q. Can my dog sleep in the day kennel at night?
A. Certainly if he is used to it but not if not.
Q. What about drying dog towels?
A. There is a dedicated undercover washing line so they can dry whilst you are out.
Q. Can he sleep on the beds or furniture?
A. Yes if you use the doggy throws provided.
